Nordic Dance Tour – Official Ranking and Points System

🎯 1. General Overview

The Nordic Dance Tour unites dancers from across the Nordic region and Europe — from Juniors to Professionals — in a joint ranking circuit.
Participants collect points across selected international competitions, leading to annual awards, trophies, and prize money.

Tour Period 1 – 2026 Season

Ranking Competitions:

  1. Nordic Ball (Denmark) – Start of ranking period

  2. Swedish Open (Sweden)

  3. Jurmala Dance Festival (Latvia)

Tour Period 2 – 2027–2028 Season

Ranking Competitions:

  1. Nordic Ball (Denmark) – Start of new ranking period

  2. Swedish Open (Sweden)

  3. Jurmala Dance Festival (Latvia)

  4. Nordic Ball (Denmark) – Final ranking event

Tour Period 3 – 2028–2029 Season

Ranking Competitions:

  1. Swedish Open (Sweden) – Start of ranking period

  2. Jurmala Dance Festival (Latvia)

  3. Nordic Ball (Denmark)

  4. Swedish Open (Sweden) – Final ranking event

📊 3. Official Points Table (Effective 2026–2029)

Points are awarded to all categories — from Juniors to Professionals — based on final placement at each Nordic Dance Tour event.

Rules:

  • Every registered dancer or couple automatically receives 10 points for participation.

  • Additional points are added according to final placement.

  • Points from all ranking competitions in the same tour period are summed to determine final standings.

💰 4. Awards and Prize Money

At the end of each tour period, top-ranked competitors and teachers will receive the following awards:

⚔️ 5. Tie-Break Rule (Split Places)

If a tie occurs in any money-awarded category, an extra battle round will be held at the final event of the tour period (the same event where awards are presented).
The winner of the battle will take the higher place and receive the prize.

📢 6. Ranking Publication

  • Updated rankings will be published after each competition.

  • Standings will show total accumulated points per category and division.

  • Rankings will be available on the official Nordic Dance Tour website and partner channels.
